OPR is COMMITTED TO DESIGN FAR BEYOND THE KNOWN LIMITS, BECAUSE WE ARE convinced THERE IS A BETTER WORLD TO BE explored. A WORLD MORE NATURAL, MORE REASONABLE and MORE BEAUTIFUL
Other People’s Rooms was founded as an architectural experimental laboratory dedicated to exploring the relationship between form and function, architecture and urbanism. It creates an open platform for developing new ideas and designs through innovations and collaborations across different disciplines to better serve our future. Founded and directed by Carlos Infantes in 2003. It is based in Barcelona, Spain. Yimei Chan joined OPR in 2005.
For many years, OPR has won numerous international competitions and awards and our projects have been published worldwide. From 2009-2011, OPR joint-ventured with Portuguese firm JSTC to create OPERA, an architecture brand. In 2011, OPR ESTABLISHED an office in Beijing, China and Yimei Chan became partner of OPR Beijing.
OPR is a unique organization based on the emergent concept of “cloud design”, which means true collaborative teams around the world that are highly focusing on the local problems while capable of reaching into the global knowledge pool. We build project based specific networks over a high quality design and construction experience baseboard.
